We invite you to participate in Workshop: Concepts for Improving Urban Systems in Research by Young Scientists organized by Urban Innovation Center at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology

 

By participating in the Workshop, you will improve your competences in the following areas:

 

  1. Understanding of Urban Systems and Development Possesses awareness of how urban systems function and the key social, environmental, and technical challenges they face in contemporary contexts.
  2. Problem Recognition and Needs Assessment in Urban Contexts Capable of identifying relevant urban issues and development needs, drawing from observation, general knowledge, and interdisciplinary input.
  3. Idea Generation and Solution Orientation Able to propose initial concepts or directions for improvement in urban systems, supported by logical reasoning or creative insight.
  4. Collaborative Work and Exchange of Perspectives Comfortable working with others in a team, contributing to shared ideas and engaging in constructive dialogue across diverse viewpoints.

Candidates must submit a document confirming their PhD student status along with the application form. Application forms must be sent from the candidate's official university email address.

In accordance with §4 point 5 of the Recruitment Regulations, Candidates are assessed on the basis of the criteria specified in the Recruitment Form.  Participation in the training is free of charge. Qualified participants will be able to receive funding for travel, subsistence and accommodation costs during the workshop after the form of support has taken place. Recruitment participants are required to read the Project Regulations, the Recruitment Regulations and the Regulations for the payment of lump sums for travel, subsistence and accommodation. All documents are available to download under the Documents tab.
