1st Unite Crossroads of Speech & NLP Seminar

We invite you to participate in the 1st Unite Crossroads of Speech & NLP Seminar. The 4-day seminar organized for the Speech and Natural Language Processing community of the Unite! University Network, which will take place on February 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2026 in Wrocław, Poland.

By participating in the Seminar, you will be able to:

• Improve your knowledge of the Speech and NLP research and education activities performed in the Unite! Network,
• Meet and build relations with scientists and research-oriented students from the Unite! community
• Shape the future of Speech and NLP research and teaching in the Unite! Network Meet the academic community of WrocławTech, one of the best AI institutions in Poland

For whom?

We are looking for individuals from the Unite! University Alliance, who are:

Academic teacher (e.g. Professor, Associate Professor, Lecturer) Research staff (scientific and research-technical employees) Non-academic staff in higher education / research institutions (participation must be justified by the subject matter of the project) Other staff in scientific/research units (participation must be justified by the subject matter of the project) PhD student Excellent Master students with ongoing research activity

The language of the seminar is: English.

How to apply?

Recruitment results will be published on the project website.

Additional information:

• In accordance with §4 point 5 of the Recruitment Regulations, Candidates are assessed on the basis of the criteria specified in the Recruitment Form.
• Priority for a given form of support will be given to individuals who have not previously benefited from other forms of support under the project. Participants who have previously taken part in other forms of support under the project may be qualified for participation subject to the availability of places within the limit and the approval of the Project Manager.
• Participation in the training is free of charge.
• Participants must organize their own travel and accommodation (including booking tickets, securing accommodation, and covering all costs upfront).
• Qualified participants will be able to receive funding for travel, subsistence and accommodation costs during the training after the training has taken place.
• A condition for the payment of lump sums is attendance on all days of the form of support for which the Project Participant has been qualified. In the event of incomplete attendance, the lump sum for subsistence and accommodation costs will be paid only in cases of justified absence due to unforeseen circumstances. Decisions in this regard are made by the Project Manager.
• Participation in the form of support is confirmed by the attendance list.
• Lump sums are sent out for payment to the bank wire transfer in Polish Złoty (PLN).
• Lump sums are exempt from personal income tax.
• Payment of funding to the Project Participant will be made within 21 days of the completion of the form of support in which the Project Participant took part.

Recruitment participants are required to read the Project Regulations, the Recruitment Regulations and the Regulations for the payment of lump sums for travel, subsistence and accommodation.
