Recruitment for Research Infrastructure Sharing Mobility at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WUST) September 2026

Are you interested in advanced manufacturing technologies, materials engineering, mechanical testing, or additive manufacturing?

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at WUST invites academic staff and PHD students from Unite! partner universities to participate in a short-term mobility focused on research infrastructure sharing.

The programme offers access to advanced research facilities and specialised laboratory equipment used in materials engineering, mechanical engineering and modern manufacturing technologies. It also provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge and establish research collaborations within the Unite! Alliance.

Why participate?
During the mobility, participants will:

  • gain hands-on experience with advanced research infrastructure and laboratory equipment,
  • explore modern methods used in engineering and materials research,
  • develop practical skills in experimental investigations and data analysis,
  • exchange knowledge with researchers from Unite! partner universities,
  • establish international scientific contacts and opportunities for future collaboration.

Scope of the Mobility
The programme focuses on selected aspects of: materials engineering, mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing technologies, including materials characterisation, mechanical testing, microstructural analysis, joining technologies, and metal additive manufacturing.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the mobility, participants will be able to:

  • apply advanced research methods and technologies used in modern engineering,
  • plan and conduct selected experimental investigations,
  • analyse and interpret research results,
  • work effectively in an international research environment.

Who can apply?
Applications are open to academic staff and PHD students from Unite! partner universities representing the fields of mechanical engineering, machine building, materials engineering, energy engineering, production engineering, robotics and automation, mechatronics, electronics, and related disciplines.

Financial Support
Participation in the mobility is free of charge.
Participants organise their travel and accommodation independently, including booking transport and accommodation and covering any upfront costs.
Upon successful completion of the mobility, participants will receive a lump-sum grant covering travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for the entire mobility period.

The lump-sum grant will be paid within 21 days of the completion of the mobility, subject to the participant fulfilling all project requirements.

Applicants are required to attach a current certificate issued by their home university confirming their employment or PhD student status at a Unite! partner university.

If Applicants obtain the same score, their position on the ranking list will be determined by the order of application submission.
